What to Expect

Soreness typically begins 4-6 hours after an adjustment and peaks around 24-72 hours. Over-the-counter pain relievers, soft foods, and cold water help most patients manage well. Discomfort usually resolves within a week.

When to Call Omega

A bracket or wire digging into your cheek, severe pain that worsens after several days, or any visible swelling warrants a call to our office. We can adjust wires, apply orthodontic wax, or bring you in for a quick review.
