Comfortable Care

Sedation Dentistry

If fear has kept you out of the dental chair, you are not alone, and you are not stuck. Sedation lets you relax, or sleep, through treatment so you can finally get the care you have been putting off.

Who sedation is for

Sedation helps patients with dental anxiety, a strong gag reflex, difficulty getting numb, or a lot of treatment to do in one visit. It is also common for oral surgery like wisdom teeth and implants. If the chair makes you anxious, tell us when you book and we plan around it.

Your options

We offer three levels. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) takes the edge off and wears off quickly. Oral sedation is a pill that leaves you calm and drowsy. IV sedation, administered by our board-certified oral surgeons, takes you deeper, and most patients remember little to none of the procedure.

Is it safe?

Yes, when it is done by trained providers who monitor you, which is exactly how we do it. We review your health history first, monitor you throughout, and match the level of sedation to you and the procedure. Our oral surgeons are credentialed to provide IV sedation.

What to expect

For nitrous, you can usually drive yourself home. For oral and IV sedation, you will need someone to drive you. We give you simple before-and-after instructions, and the team is genuinely good with nervous patients. You will not be rushed or judged.

Why Omega

Sedation here is provided and monitored by board-certified specialists, not improvised. Combined with our gentle approach, it is why anxious patients who avoided dentists for years finish treatment with us comfortably.

Is dental sedation safe?

Yes, when provided by trained professionals who monitor you throughout, which is how we do it. We review your health history and match the sedation to you.

Will I be unconscious?

It depends on the level. Nitrous and oral sedation keep you relaxed but responsive. IV sedation is deeper and most patients remember little of the procedure.

Can I drive myself home?

After nitrous oxide, usually yes. After oral or IV sedation you will need someone to drive you.
