Dr. Shirin Farhadian is a board-certified periodontist. She graduated from periodontics residency at Saint Louis University. She has been practicing as a Periodontist and implantologist for several years and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
She has been involved in basic and clinical research in periodontics and has published several articles in the field of periodontics and bone tissue engineering. She has presented her clinical work and research nationally and internationally.
In one of her advanced research projects, she studied over 2500 patients with Periodontitis to evaluate the synergistic effect of smoking and diabetes mellitus on treatment of these patients.
Dr. Farhadian was chosen as a finalist in the Balint Orban Memorial clinical science competition, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of Periodontology, at the American Academy of Periodontology 2019 Annual Meeting.
She is an active member of many professional associations including American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and Dental honor society.
